Leave a Nest Capital Invests in Endophyte, a Spin-Off of University of Tsukuba and Ibaraki University, a Venture Company from Tech Planter

Leave a Nest Group has invested in Endophyte Inc. (Head Office : Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Toshiki Kazaoka; hereinafter referred to as Endophyte) through Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd.

Endophyte is a venture company spun out of the University of Tsukuba and Ibaraki University, which conducts research and development of soil microorganisms called Dark Septate Endophytes (DSE), that provide plants with various functions such as improving environmental stress resistance and promoting nutrient absorption, with the vision of “realizing high value-added greening in any environment.”

As climate change and soil degradation are becoming increasingly serious, Endophyte aims to realize high value-added greening in any environment using a large library of DSE strains and to build a co-creation ecosystem for new green businesses in collaboration with companies and local authorities.

Leave a Nest Group has decided to invest in Endophyte due to their shared dedication to tackling comprehensive environmental challenges.

With this funding, the company will enhance its organizational structure for technology and business development, strengthen collaboration with new business co-creation partners on a capital alliance basis, and accelerate global commercialization.

Moving forward, Leave a Nest Group is committed to continuing its support to create deep tech solutions across various fields and contribute to global happiness.
